Natural Augmented English app for iPhone and iPad

You can improve your English while having fun exploring the world around you and asking questions of interest. This easy-to-use app has both an intelligent camera and an intelligent microphone, which can be activated to view spoken and written words for your surroundings and for the speech that you say and hear from the questions you ask.

Touching the logo icon in the center of the home screen plays a short video of how to use the app.

Touching the camera icon puts you into picture taking mode. Taking the picture puts the picture on the screen. Touching the bottom left Retake button returns you to the camera. Touching the Use Photo accesses the internet to find word descriptors for the picture. When a word is shown, touching the define button defines the word. Sometimes no definition is given and you can choose the next word, or return home. Touching the large top left pointing arrow button returns you to the home screen.

When the microphone icon is touched, you can ask a question that will be automatically recognized and answered. Once a question is prepared, you ask your question by touching one of the question buttons. The question should be asked in a continuous manner with no pauses. The question and answer are then presented. Touching the large top left arrow button returns to the home screen.

Sometimes the program will not recognize what you asked, or it will not have the information. In these cases, you will either get the reply, “sorry, I didnt get that." Or it will repeat the question but not give an answer.
